GIA Publications, Inc. is a leader in sacred music and music education resources. We have worked with GIA since 2003 to build a World class eCommerce website to showcase and sell various physical and digital products.

Search

Using Elasticsearch, we built a custom product search. The search allows customers to quickly search either by keyword, product number or filter by product attributes. Each night, product data is updates from the on-site product database.

Real Time Shipping rates

The GIAMusic.com checkout process uses receives real-time UPS and USPS shipping rates. Using the box size, weight and destination address, customers can choose from various options at different price points.

Download Products

When we first started working with GIA, all the products were physical and shipped to customers. About 5 years ago we added MP3 and PDF downloads to the GIAmusic.com shopping cart. Now MP3s out sell CDs and PDFs outsell physically printed music. Now GIA Customers are able to purchase and download individual MP3s, entire MP3 albums, and PDF sheet music. There is also a feature to purchase Digital Bundles containing both MP3 recordings and PDFs of printed music.

Each MP3 and PDF is marked with meta data that identifies the purchaser of the digital product. Customers my also choose to license multiple printed copies of PDF print outs to be distributed to a choir or instrumentalists.
